Irma Recovery

In times of uncertainty and tragedy the church has a responsibility to respond with courageous compassion.  The church isn’t just a place we assemble on Sundays…  it’s who we are!  It’s what we do.  We are called to BE the church!  There are many in our church and throughout our community who are experiencing real life hurt and loss.  Christ’s Church desires to be #ForCamden and provide a new hope to them.

NO POWER? COME RECHARGE AT CHRIST’S CHURCH!
The lobby is open at Christ’s Church. We have power, AC, free coffee, wifi, and lots of tables if you want to come recharge yourself or your devices. Doors are open from 10:00am till 4:00pm today.  Come on over!

 

BAPTISM AT THE BEACH UPDATE
At this time, we feel the strain on our community, those hurting and in need, and those who have evacuated awaiting approval to return home is more of a priority than our Baptism At The Beach event originally scheduled for this Saturday.  Rest assured that we will reschedule.

 

CHURCH SERVICE UPDATE
Because it’s still to be determined when power, water and sewer will be restored throughout the community, we plan to have modified services this weekend at Christ’s Church.

ONE Church, ONE Service at 10:30am.  We’ll worship together, have communion, and have a special time of prayer for our community and those who are hurting and in need.  (No children’s programming will be available.)

 

Alternatively, you may call the church office at 912-729-6161 and leave a message.  Please know, however, that we will probably not be immediately available as our full staff is deployed throughout the community helping with the recovery.  We will regularly check messages though.
