The Thrill of Hope

Hope is coming

The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep shadows a light will shine.   Isaiah 9:2  

Hope is here

The Word (Jesus) gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.   John 1:4-5

The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.   John 1:9-12

Hope is what the world needs now. 

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

“God, take me where hope is needed.”
