His family tree is ancient and distinguished.  Micah 5:2 The Message

An account of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham:

Judah fathered Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez fathered Hezron, Hezron fathered Aram, Aram fathered Amminadab, Amminadab fathered Nahshon, Nahshon fathered Salmon, Salmon fathered Boaz by Rahab.
Boaz fathered Obed by Ruth, Obed fathered Jesse, and Jesse fathered King David. David fathered Solomon by Uriah’s wife.

2 Samuel 11-12

Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.  The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Isaiah 11:1-2

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever.   Isaiah 9:6-7

Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: See, the virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.  Isaiah 7:14

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.   John 1:1-2
