SAME | Week 2

“Friendship … is born at the moment when one man says to another “What! You too? I thought that no one but myself … ”  (C.S. Lewis, “The Four Loves”)

Brothers and sisters, if someone is overtaken in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual, restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so that you also won’t be tempted. Galatians 6:1

Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.  Galatians 6:2

For if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Let each person examine his own work, and then he can take pride in himself alone, and not compare himself with someone else.  Galatians 6:3-4

For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.  Galatians 5:14

For each person will have to carry his own load.  Galatians 6:5

What is a burden that you know someone is carrying on their own?

What would it look like for you to help them carry it?

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30
