Weeds in my Garden | Week One

I tell you that I’m whole, but I’m still healing

I tell you that I’m happy, but I’m grieving

Thought I was a fighter

I’m still in the fire

But if I’m being honest

I’m not being honest

I’ll give you roses just hopin’ you don’t see the weeds in my garden

It’s OK to not be OK…

Our Weeds have 4 Roots:

Situational

Biological

Clinical

Spiritual

…and Jesus wants to make you whole.

“The Lord has chosen and sent me to tell the oppressed the good news, to comfort and heal the brokenhearted, to announce freedom for the captives, to release from darkness for the prisoners, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of a spirit of despair.”  Isaiah 61:1-2

“Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”  Luke 4:21

He lived in the tombs, and no one was able to restrain him anymore—not even with a chain— because he often had been bound with shackles and chains, but had torn the chains apart and smashed the shackles. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains, he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones.  Mark 5:3-5

They came to Jesus and saw the man who had been demon-possessed, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind Mark 5: 15

A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.  John 10:10

It’s OK to not be OK and Jesus wants to make you whole.

“Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. And may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will do it.”  1 Thessalonians 5:22-23
